A thank you to Bath

As the new kid on the Square, opening a workspace post-pandemic when most people had become accustomed to the new hybrid-working lifestyle was no easy feat, but wow, did Bath welcome us with open arms.

Since opening our yellow door in February, we have received so much support from local individuals and businesses. We wanted to say thank you to those that have made the House of St John’s feel at home in Bath.

Starting at the very beginning, No. One Queen Square would never have been able to open were it not for the help of Fielden-Clegg Bradley Studios and MEA Consulting. Both organisations were instrumental in the successful delivery of the project and helped St John’s Foundation’s sympathetic refurbishment and modernisation of the Grade 1 listed building.

Fast forward two years of renovation, and the House was finally ready to open in February 2022. We received so much support from local publications, including the wonderful Anita Jaynes and Sian Swift at The Business Exchange and Simon Tapscott from Circus, who as one of our most vocal supporters, is always singing the House’s praises.

Bath Life have also been a vital partner in helping us to spread the word and we were delighted to win the ‘One to Watch’ award at the Bath Property Awards in October! And of course, we could not forget our friends at Total Guide, who consistently support us with great content, opportunities and sharing our socials.

It would be remise of us not to say the biggest thanks of all to our members. Those who have taken private offices, those who have found themselves a space of their own with a dedicated desk, and those that are enjoying the freedom of our co-working packages. Thank you to everyone who has trusted us to deliver their events, celebrations, or more corporate occasions – we hope our team have done you proud and we look forward to supporting you in all your future endeavours.

Finally, to those in the community who have worked with us to make the events a reality- we thank you. We could not deliver these events to the highest level were it not for the help of our caterers. Roasted Lemon and Wild Fig are some of most incredibly talented caterers in Bath, taking so much pride in their work and delivering the most delicious food to our event guests.

So, to everyone who have helped in spreading the word about the House of St John’s – even if it was just mentioning it to a friend in conversation, thank you!  We can only hope that one day we are lucky enough to return the favour to other new businesses across Bath, but for now, we are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with our wonderful members and preparing for lots of exciting things come in the new year.
